One of the most beautiful Andalusian “white washed” villages
Benalmádena Pueblo is one of the most beautiful “white washed” villages in Andalusia that still keeps the typical traditional Spanish style.
The lovely historic old town centre with its little cobbled streets and its romantic tranquil squares offer a wide selection of nice bars, café’s and restaurants.
Past & Present
Hotel Pueblo, formerly known as Plazoleta Hotel, re-opened its doors in Summer 2013, having undergone a full 21st Century renovation, while retaining its traditional charm. Situated on the main street of the village (Avenida Juan Luis Peralta) it is easily recognizable, being studded with blue pots of flowering plants.
First built in ’54, it was once a hostal (‘Casa Luque’) owned by the Luque family offering hospitality to travellers and sales men, as wellas bullfighters visiting the local ring. Even horses, donkeys and bulls were catered for!
Now decorated throughout in a glowing sunset shade, complemented with blue and enhanced with chandelier lighting. All ten rooms are luxuriously appointed with beautifully tiled en-suite bathrooms, comfortable beds, Tassimo brewing machines (which provide an international selection of teas, coffees and chocolate), mini bars, flatscreen TVs and docking stations for iPhones. iPads for in-room use are provided at the reception, and free WiFi is available throughout the hotel.
Eight of the rooms face the Plaza de Andalucia square, which is filled with palm trees, flowers and a restfully tinkling fountain. The top two rooms boast an unbroken view of sea and mountains, and a large kitchenette space providing a microwave, toaster and fridge.
A colourful and historic tiled painting of the Plaza de Andalucia square (‘La Plazoleta’) greets you as you enter Hotel Pueblo. Opposite the reception sits a cozy and welcoming lounge offering drinks and bar facilities, together with computer facilities and a 3D TV. Restaurants, bars, and shops are close.
